Camrose Railway Station Museum Interpretive Programs for Children

Children’s Programs

School programs were developed with Beyond the Classroom principles and cover many areas in the curriculum. We now offer a preschool and kindergarten program along with four Grade 4 programs.

Bring your group to the 1911 restored Third-Class Standard Extended Railway Station. The children and adults will experience, hands-on, the concept of teamwork and cooperation that was so important to the early pioneers and railway workers. Other themes include working and playing in an atmosphere of mutual respect, and cultural understanding.

These full-day programs run from 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. dependent on the distance of travel. We adapt the program and the time to meet the school time requirements.

These programs include pre- and post-activities to meet curriculum goals. A complete list of curriculum components will be provided upon registration.
